FAQ
Which slots run as a lottery?
Only the time windows you mark. Scope draws to exact weekday and time ranges, say Saturday 08:00 to 12:00, and every other slot stays on your normal grid for instant booking.
How are winners chosen?
TEKKA draws winners from everyone who entered that window, with no advantage for who called first or refreshed fastest. By default the draw is weighted toward members who recently entered without getting a slot, and you can switch that off in your club settings. Either way nobody is excluded and nobody is guaranteed a slot.
What happens if a winner doesn't pay in time?
Each winner gets a 12-hour payment window. If it lapses, the offer cascades to the next applicant automatically, so there is no staff chasing and no prime court left frozen.
Will we have refunds to run for players who aren't drawn?
No, because there's nothing to refund. Entering is free and nobody pays until they win and accept the court. The one refund that can happen runs on its own: if a winner's co-players cancel or don't pay, the winner is refunded automatically. No manual transfers, no end-of-day reconciliations.
What happens to slots nobody confirms?
Once the draw settles, unclaimed courts return to the live grid for instant booking, so your peak capacity keeps earning instead of sitting idle.
How do we set it up?
In Edit Club, open Booking rules and choose Booking draw under “How players get a court”. Pick “Peak times only” and add the weekday and time ranges you want to run as a draw. TEKKA handles entries, the draw, offers, and payments from there.
Is a seasonal pass part of the lottery?
No. The lottery allocates individual bookings in the peak windows you choose. A seasonal member pass is a separately approved standing weekly reservation.
